Why there is no future tense?

The future tense is a grammatical construct used in many languages to describe actions, events, or states that have not yet occurred. However, the concept of the future is not a tense, but rather a temporal aspect that refers to events or states that are yet to happen. This distinction is important because it helps us understand that the future is not predetermined and that we have the ability to shape our own destiny.

One way to illustrate this concept is to consider the difference between a prediction and a plan. A prediction is a statement about what is likely to happen in the future, based on current information and trends. For example, a weather forecast might predict that it will rain tomorrow, based on the current weather patterns. However, this prediction is not a certainty, and it is possible that the forecast could be wrong.

On the other hand, a plan is a conscious decision to take action in order to achieve a desired outcome in the future. For example, if you want to go on a vacation next month, you might make a plan to save money, book a flight, and reserve a hotel room. This plan is not a prediction, but rather a deliberate effort to shape the future in a desired way.

Another way to illustrate this concept is to consider the idea of free will. Free will is the ability to make choices that shape our own lives and the world around us. If the future were predetermined, then free will would be an illusion, and our choices would be meaningless. However, if the future is not predetermined, then our choices have real consequences and can shape the course of our lives and the world around us.

In conclusion, the future is not a tense, but rather a temporal aspect that refers to events or states that are yet to happen. This distinction is important because it helps us understand that the future is not predetermined and that we have the ability to shape our own destiny. By making plans and exercising our free will, we can create the future that we want to see.
